Engineering a Better Engineer, Community and Environment
The Engineering Management Program continues in its mission to serve the educational needs of the engineering community in New Orleans and the region. The relocation of the administrative functions of the Engineering Management Program from the College of Engineering to the College of Business Administration has effectively continued. The Master of Science in Engineering Management Degree is conferred by the College of Engineering, but administered with the generous help of our College of Business Administration colleagues. UNO and the Engineering Management Program have striven to provide the best educational opportunities uninterrupted, being the only University in New Orleans to offer the full range of engineering educational opportunities to our students and local, regional, national and international communities.
Even in the face of the physical damage caused by Hurricane Katrina and the consequent challenges, our program has met these challenges. We have graduated almost 30students since Katrina hit and have admitted many new students. We recognize that our students and our community are key elements to the strength of the Program, our University and our City. Engineers are an integral part of the rebuilding of our region and UNO is an integral part of educating engineers to be better managers in the rebuilding process through the Engineering Management Program.
