* While all courses listed must be taken to qualify for the specific degree, schedule rearrangements are certainly possible. The primary consideration is successful completion of prerequisites. For example, chemistry may be taken in the freshman rather than the sophomore year, provided all prerequisites are met. Also, see the Course Numbering System page for additional information.

1 To graduate with a degree in Engineering, the student must satisfy the General Degree Requirements of the University.

2 Students who are not exceptionally strong in math are encouraged to take the three-semester sequence of MATH 2107 (3 cr), 2108 (3 cr), and 2109 (4 cr) in place of the two-semester sequence of MATH 2111 (5 cr) and 2112 (5 cr).

3 Students may also take the combination of CSCI 1581 (3 cr) and 1583 (1 cr) to satisfy this requirement.

4 ECON 2000 satisfies 3 hrs of the UNO requirement (referred to in footnote 1) of 6 hrs at or above the 2000 level.

5 Students are strongly encouraged to take POLI 2151 (American Government) to fulfill this social science elective requirement.

NOTE: The naval architicture and maring engineering curriculum is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
