June 01, 2006 —The Eleventh Annual Engineering Recognition Awards Ceremony was held on Friday, May 26 in the Homer L. Hitt Alumni and Visitor's Center.
The Event featured the 2005 Awards because the ceremony would have been held last fall, but was delayed by Hurricane Katrina. The recipients of the awards were nominated from the engineering community and chosen by the Engineering Recognition Awards selection committee. This annual event honors Alumni and other friends and supporters of the College of Engineering.
The program began with a welcome by Dr. Norman Whitley, Master of Ceremonies and Associate Dean, followed by Dr. Russell E. Trahan (Dean, College of Engineering) introducing Mr. Charles Cusimano of the LSU Board of Supervisors.

John Noll Crisp Award for Technical Excellence presented by Paul Versowsky (Chairman, Engineering Advisory Council) of Chevron, USA — Boh Bros. Construction Co., LLC, New Orleans, LA for their repair of the I-10 Twin Spans Bridge after Hurricane Katrina.
