The Order of the Engineer, Link 118

The Order of the Engineer is a national organization dedicated to maintaining high ethical standards in the engineering profession. Graduating seniors are encouraged to join the order and take part in its induction ceremony during their final semester of school.

Graduates of U.S. accredited engineering programs are invited to join the Order of the Engineer, link 118. The Order was formed in 1970 to foster a spirit of pride and responsibility in the engineering profession and to present to the public a visible symbol - the Engineer's Ring.
The structure of the Order is simple:
1. There are no meetings
2. There are no yearly dues.
Membership is open to engineering graduates of ABET-accredited engineering programs, and also to licensed Professional Engineers and members of the Canadian Calling (by reciprocity).

If you are already a member of the Order of Engineer, we would still like to invite you to attend the next ceremony. Please RSVP via email (squintan@uno.edu) or telephone (504-280-6825).

Upon approval of your nomination for candidacy, you will pledge to practice your profession with integrity, fair dealing, and respect, and seal your obligation with the Engineer's Ring at a brief ceremony.
